A Louisville man faces at least 35 years in prison after a federal jury convicted him on nine child exploitation charges last week.
According to a news release Thursday from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky, 35 year-old Quinnton Dawson recorded himself engaging in sexual acts with a 4-year-old girl. Investigators said he also used his email account to seek out and exchange child sexual abuse material.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Louisville Field Office and the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Dawson faces at least 35 years in prison. A jury returned the guilty verdict on March 5 after the weeklong trial.
These charges came after Dawson was given shock probation in the Jefferson Circuit Court after being previously convicted of possessing and distributing child pornography. He was also convicted of second-degree robbery.
Dawson is scheduled for sentencing June 11.
