
Louisville Metro Police have made an arrest in connection with a February homicide in the California neighborhood.
Officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 1600 block of Garland Avenue on Thursday, February 12. At the scene, police found 38-year-old victim Jashaun Brown, who was declared dead at the scene.
On Wednesday, May 13, Louisville Metro Police Department announced that 19-year-old Darryl Goodwin was taken into custody by the Homicide Unit in connection with the shooting.
Goodwin is being charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
The 19-year-old is currently being held in the Kentucky State Reformatory on unrelated charges.
