
On May 12, the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force were watching Timothy Spivey’s home on Macedonia Road in Franklin.
According to a news release, agents say they saw Spivey drop something in the grass near the road as a Simpson County Jail trash pickup crew was walking along the road. Agents say they then saw Cody L. Green, an inmate at the Simpson County Jail, picking up the item Spivey dropped.
Law enforcement stopped the trash pickup crew and found Crystal Methamphetamine in Green’s pants pocket. This is the fifth time Spivey has been charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine.
Officers searched Spivey’s house and found more Crystal Methamphetamine was located along with packaging materials, scales and paraphernalia.
Cody L. Green, 31, of Smiths Grove was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Timothy C. Spivey, 53, of Franklin was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 2nd offense, trafficking in a controlled substance 2nd Offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
