
An investigation by the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office has resulted in the indictment of two people for Medicaid fraud.
Chandra Branch, 56, and Evans Mitchell, 67, of Bowling Green, each face two counts of devising or engaging in a scheme to defraud the Kentucky Medical Assistance Program.
Branch faces an additional seven counts of 2nd-degree forgery and one count of 2nd-degree being a persistent felony offender.
According to court documents, the abuse occurred for more than a year, with the pair submitting fraudulent claims for payment to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Branch is also accused of altering timesheets.
Branch and Mitchell will be arraigned on June 15.
