Louisville Metro Police say a 2-year-old child has died following a reported drowning in Valley Station Tuesday evening.
Police said officers were called around 7 p.m. to the 10300 block of Nanka Road to assist EMS after a caller reported the child had fallen into a pool and was unresponsive.
Despite life-saving efforts, police said the child was taken to Norton Children’s Hospital, where the child was later pronounced dead.
As is standard in death investigations, LMPD said the Homicide Unit will take over the scene and conduct a thorough investigation.
