A Florida man has been arrested in Louisville after police say a teenage girl called them to report that he violently sexually assaulted her.
Alexander Gibson, 22, is charged with rape, strangulation, sodomy and assault.
Police said the 14-year-old girl reported the assault right after it happened. She told police they had met online through a video game platform and he had driven to Kentucky to have sex with her.
She told investigators that she told Gibson she was 14, but said he told her he didn’t believe her.
Gibson told police he did not know the girl was 14.
He is being held in Louisville Metro Department of Corrections on a $250,000 full cash bond.
