A single vehicle accident in Ekron sent a Brandenburg woman to the hospital Monday night (11/2). According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 8:45 pm on Old Ekron Road near Shumate Road.
A 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer driven by 18 year-old Victoria Davis of Brandenburg, lost control of the car in a curve left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Davis was treated at the scene and taken to Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana by Meade County EMS. A passenger, 18 year-old Eljijah Fackler of Webster was not injured. Davis told the investigating deputy that she didn’t know the road well. The Ekron Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
