A Meade County man suspected of holding up the same Elizabethtown convenience store twice in one week was arrested on Monday.
Hardin County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a robbery at 434 Food Mart at 3069 Battle Training Road about 10:45 a.m. on Monday. They were given a description of the robber and began searching the area near the store.
While the search was being conducted, a neighbor reported that a suspicious person had come to his home. That led deputies to the suspect, who was identified as 24-year-old Aaron Eades of Brandenburg. Upon further investigation, deputies determined Eades was also a suspect in a robbery at the same store on January 6.
Eades is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery. He was taken to the Hardin County Detention Center and placed under a $75,000 bond.
