
A two vehicle accident sent on to the hospital Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred at about 2:50, when a Chevy Lumina, driven by Lavina Dowell of Falls Of Rough, attempted to turn westbound onto Highway 60, from Highway 86, into the path of an eastbound Buick Lucerne, driven by William Robbins of Louisville.
Dowell had to be extricated from the wreckage by units from the Harned Fire Department. She was flown to University Of Louisville Hospital, by Air-Evac. William Robbins refused transport.
Traffic was delayed for about an hour as emergency personnel worked to clear the accident scene.
Irvington Police Chief Brandon Brinkley was assisted at the scene by Breckinridge County Sheriff Todd Pate & Chief Deputy Bruce Anthony, Harned Fire & Rescue, Breck Central EMS & Air Evac Lifeteam.
