A man was shot while driving on Interstate-65 in apparent road-rage incident late Saturday night.
According to a Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson, the man was traveling on I-65 when he was cut off by an unknown driver. The man then honked his horn at the car that cut him off. A person from that car then fired at him. The driver was struck by a bullet, however his passenger was not.
The man, who said he did not recognize the car from which the shots were fired, then exited the interstate and stopped at the Thorntons at the corner of First and Broadway and called police around 11:30 p.m.
The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to LMPD spokesperson Alicia Smiley.
