A man has been indicted in connection to a drunk-driving crash that killed two people in Hart County.
Police say on February 13th, 27 year-old Manuel Crespo was driving on 31-W in Bonnieville when he hit a car, driven by 66 year-old Angela Damico, and kept driving.
While trying to pass another vehicle Crespo hit a van head-on, killing 50-year-old Mary Haycraft of Clarkson and 39-year-old Jason Ferguson of Upton and injuring two other passengers. No injuries were reported in the first accident.
Crespo has been indicted on several offenses including murder, wanton endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a license, and open container.
Crespo’s case is pending trial in Hart Circuit Court.
