Bowling Green Police have made an arrest three days after a shooting of a WKU student at the College Suites apartment complex.
In a release Friday morning, Bowling Green Police announced 24 year-old Dantoine Steen was arrested in connection with the shooting that sent 18 year-old Mario Lopez of Louisville to Vanderbilt Hospital in Tennessee Tuesday night.
Detectives say they were given the nickname “D.A.” as one of the shooters and determined “D.A.” was Steen.
Shortly after the shooting, a caller told police they saw a black Toyota SUV, with two black men, leaving the scene.
Detectives tracked Steen down at his apartment on Brownslock Road where he was arrested.
Police said they found a black Toyota Highlander at the property along with a gray hoodie, black pants, black shoes, a red bandanna and a gun holster that matched Steen’s gun, which was recovered at the crime scene.
Steen is facing charges of Assault 1st Degree and Robbery 1st Degree. He is lodged in the Warren County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
