
A joint effort by the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police, Hartford Police Department and Beaver Dam Police Department ended with the arrest of a Beaver Dam man for trafficking methamphetamine.
Detectives received information about an individual who was allegedly selling methamphetamine from the 4000 block of Walden Court in Beaver Dam. Upon investigation, detectives had an opportunity to set up a sting operation on Wednesday (3/2) afternoon.
About fifteen minutes later 33 year-old Jason Kassinger of Beaver Dam, was taken into custody without incident along North Main Street by police. Officers confiscated methamphetamine and $571 in cash. Police also discovered additional methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during a search of Kassinger’s residence.
Kassinger was charged with one count of first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and one count of trafficking in a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school and was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
