The Breckinridge County Grand Jury is set to hear the case of an Irvington man charged with murder.
Twenty two year-old Micheal Wardrip of Irvington appeared Friday (4/1) during a hearing in Breckinridge District Court, where Judge Harold Goff ruled there were sufficient evidence existed for probable cause. Wardrip is charged in the shooting death of 22-year-old Brandon Williams of Irvington after a argument on March 24 between Williams and 34 year-old Johnny Ray Thompson also of Irvington in a parking lot of an abandoned gas station in Garfield.
Williams allegedly shot Thompson and then aimed the gun at Wardrip. Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene, while Williams died later that night in Louisville.
Judge Goff ruled that bond would remain at $100,000. The Grand Jury is scheduled to take up the case on May 11th.
