Employees at a Grayson County business will be out of jobs just before the holidays.
According to the Kentucky Office of Industry & Apprentice Services, a partner in the Kentucky Career Center, a WARN notice has been sent out regarding the closure of Legett & Platt, Inc.
The WARN notice was received on October 21 in Grayson County that is set to impact 145 employees due to a closure, according to the WARN notice. The projected date of the closure is December 21.
Legett & Platt, Inc. is a manufacturing plant in Leitchfield that designs and produces engineered components and finished products for bedding, home, and work furniture, automotive seating, and flooring.
Leggett & Platt, which is headquartered in Carthage, Missouri, officially completed its merger with Somnigroup International Inc. on August 26 of this year.
