More medical debt relief is coming to thousands of Kentuckians.
Governor Andy Beshear said a total of $153 million of medical debt is now erased, covering about 67,000 Kentuckians struggling to make ends meet.
It is a part of an executive order from Beshear in September. His administration is sending letters to the people who qualify.
The last round of relief helped about 22,000 people.
The goal is to erase $250 million in medical debt across Kentucky. There is no application process since the administration sends out letters to the qualifying people.
The next round of letters is expected to be mailed in a couple of weeks.
