
Two people were taken to the hospital after there were involved in two separate accidents with in the past week.
According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, the first accident happened around 1 pm on Sunday (3/27) on Kentucky 313. A 2000 Pontiac Grand AM driven by 28 year-old Rickey Ridley of Vine Grove was traveling south behind a 1997 Ford Ranger driven by 63 year-old Robert Macy of Radcliff.
Ridley was following too close to the pickup truck and struck the rear of Macy’s truck causing Macy to lose control and run off of the Roadway. Macy was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Meade County EMS for his injuries. Ridley and his two passengers were not injured. The Flaherty Fire Department assisted the Meade County Sheriff’s Department at the scene.
A second accident happened on Monday (3/28) around 6:30 am along Brandenburg Road when a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 18 year-old Kristin Burton of Radcliff, lost control of her truck. She ran off of the roadway and came struck a utility pole. Burton was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown for her injuries by Meade County EMS.
