The Meade County Sheriff’s Office asking for the public’s help in an hit and run accident that occurred in Meade County near Vine Grove Wednesday (4/27).
A 2013 Nissan passenger car was traveling on Kentucky 313 when an unidentified vehicle in front of her came to an abrupt stop at the intersection of Ditto Lane. The Nissan was able to stop in time before striking this vehicle. However the vehicle behind the Nissan, was not able to stop and struck the Nissan in the rear resulting in severe damage to the Nissan.
This vehicle is believed to be an older model tan Chevrolet Suburban. This vehicle did stop and speak to the driver of the Nissan but he failed to wait for the arrival of the Meade County Sheriff’s Office
The subject did not exchange information with the driver of the Nissan and fled the scene. The driver is described as a white male, 25-30 years old, thin build with dark hair. The drivers first name may be Hunter. The Suburban should have front end damage.
