Officials in Edmonson County responded to an accident involving a truck falling onto a person.
According to a firefighter with the Wingfield Fire Department, 58 year-old Russell Steven Hawks was trapped under the truck that fell on top of him.
According to officials, Hawk’s girlfriend tried to use a transmission jack to help raise the truck, but was only able to lift some pressure off of him before the fire department arrived on scene.
First responders were able to use the jack to lift the remainder of the truck off of Hawk. Officials say Hawk then crawled out from beneath the vehicle on his own.
