Kentucky State Police released details of a fatal weekend accident in Meade County.
According to Trooper Jeff Gregory, the accident happened just after 7 pm Saturday (11/26) on Highway 1638 at the intersection of LG&E Road near Muldraugh. A 2001 Pontiac Montana van driven by 42 year-old Dawn Kinser of Brandenburg, was traveling west on Kentucky 1638, when she crossed the centerline and struck a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup driven by 64 year-old David Spaulding of Louisville.
Spauldin lost control of his truck and ran off of the road after the collison. Kinser continued on and hit a 2010 Dodge Town and Country van, driven by 36 year-old Tyler Dabradalskas of Dwaynesboro, New York. Kinser’s van then struck a 2008 Ford F150 pickup driven by 18 year-old Jonathan Geary of Shepherdsville, which came to a stop on the shoulder of the road.
Spauldin and Geary were treated at the scene and taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown by Meade County EMS for minor injuries. Kinser was pronounced dead at scene by the Meade County Coroner.
The roadway was closed several hours as the accident was reconstructed by Kentucky State Police, who was assisted by the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, Muldraugh Fire Department, and the transportation cabinet.
The accident remains under investigation by state police.
