Law enforcement in Grayson County responded to a report of a gunfire during a domestic disturbance Saturday (1/21) night in Clarkson.
Around 10:30 pm CST, officers with the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department, Clarkson Police Department and Kentucky State Police responded to a residence in the 400 block of North Patterson Street, in Clarkson. A report of gunshots were made after a male suspect was shooting at or near residences in the area. When police arrived on the scene, the suspect identified as 25 year-old Joshua T. Newsome, 25, of Clarkson, went inside a home.
Local law enforcement attempted to persuade the man to exit the home for nearly an hour, but the man refused to come outside. After a short time at the scene, Kentucky State Police Troopers were able to get Newsome to come out of the residence.
Newsome was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment, first degree and was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
