
A welfare check leads to an arrest and multiple charges in Hawesville.
Kentucky State Police responded to Truman Young Road after they were told Allan Powers had three young children in his custody and was reported to have firearms inside the home despite the fact that he is a convicted felon.
Troopers found Powers to be in possession of four shotguns, four rifles and three handguns. Powers was arrested on seven counts of possession of firearm by a convicted felon; and three counts of possession of handgun by a convicted felon.
Powers was arrested lodged in the Hancock County Jail.
Troopers and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife are continuing to investigate which result in additional charges.
