A Grayson County man is jail after he pulled a gun on a store clerk at a local auto parts store.
On Monday afternoon at approximately 2:30, the Leitchfield Police Department responded to a report of a man with a gun around 2:30 pm CST at Advance Auto Parts, in the 300 block of South Main Street in Leitchfield.
According to a stores manager, 51 year-old Albert Sanders, of Millwood, entered the business and asked for a refund on a part he purchased at Advance Auto’s Elizabethtown location. Store employees attempted to work with Sanders to help him resolve the auto part issue, but after being told that the Leitchfield location could not refund his money, and that he would have to receive a refund from the Elizabethtown store. Sanders was already upset, became began cursing the store’s employee.
Sanders then pulled a gun and pointed it at the employee who was trying to help him. One of the store’s managers then got between Sanders and the male employee he pointed his gun toward, with the employee calling 9-1-1.
Sanders left the store, left in his vehicle traveling north on South Main Street, allowing him to be quickly stopped by police. Sanders was arrested without incident and charged with wanton endangerment and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Sanders was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center on a $5,000 cash bond.
