The Leitchfield Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Thomas Street around 10:30 am CDT Tuesday (3/14).
According to police, an investigation revealed that a female subject had fired a pistol at an S10 pickup being driven by Nathan Embry. Police said a bullet from the gun struck the fuel tank of the vehicle causing a fuel leak.
Police arrested 33 year-old Jessica L. Geary, of Leitchfield, on two counts of first degree wanton endangerment. She was in the Grayson County Detention Center. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The case remains under investigation and additional charges may be forthcoming.
