
A Louisville man is dead after a single vehicle accident in Meade County Wednesday (4/26).
According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 3:45 pm on Kentucky 333 near Hobbs Lane, when 35 year-old Micheal Gridron of Louisville was traveling north in 2016 Chevrolet box truck. For unknown reasons, the the truck’s tires dropped of the shoulder of the roadway causing Gridron to loose control of the truck.
The truck crossed the southbound lane and went off of the road and traveled down the ditch line before it struck a utility pole and overturned twice before coming rest in a field. Gridron was ejected from the truck and pronounced dead by the Meade County Coroner.
Highway 333 was closed just over seven hours as crews investigated the scene. Meade County EMS and the Flaherty Fire Department also assisted the Meade County Sheriff’s Department at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
