Crews Called To Laundry Room Fire

Fire crews in Meade County were called to the scene of a small fire in a laundry room Tuesday (5/9) morning.

Crews from the Ekron, Meade County and Flaherty Fire Departments were called to the 1300 block of Medley Drive near Buck Grove around 7:10 am. When firemen arrived on the scene they discovered smoke showing from the residence. Firemen worked about 45 minutes to gain control of the fire. One person was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by Meade County EMS. Fire crews were on the scene just over an hour. No other injuries were reported.
