
A Hardin County jury a 29 year-old convicted a Vine Grove man on several charges Thursday.
Chester Coogle was found guilty of third-degree assault of a police officer, first-degree fleeing and evading police, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree persistent felony offender. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison and must serve 20 percent of the sentence to become eligible for parole.
He was charged with several offenses after a March 21 pursuit in western Hardin County that included Coogle nearly striking Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Taylor Miller, who had left his vehicle attempting to stop Coogle.
Coogle was arrested April 16 and has been lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center since his arrest.
