Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin has announced Tuesday (8/22) that Leitchfield Police Chief Kevin Henderson has been appointed to the post of Grayson County Judge-Executive.
Henderson will replace Temporary Judge-Executive Jason Dennis, in order to fill out the vacancy made by former Judge Executive Gary Logsdon who resigned before his term was up.
Henderson has more than 25 years of law-enforcement experience, including service with the Leitchfield Police Department, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police. Additionally, Henderson owns and operates a general contracting company, Kevin Henderson Construction. He and his wife, Melissa, reside in Leitchfield.
Henderson said he is sincerely appreciative to the Governor for the appointment to this important post and is looking forward to continuing to serve the community. Henderson will serve in the Judge-Executive role until the position is filled in accordance with the results of the November 2018 election.
