A domestic situation in Breckinridge County caused response and impacted a local elementary school Thursday (2/14).
According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department, school administration at Custer Elementary alerted them to the fact that an 18 year-old was dropped off at the school and cited threatening statements made by his father. Deputies and other law enforcement agencies were posted at the school the remainder of the day a precaution.
Other officers went to a residence along High Plains Road, where 47 year-old Dale Stewart eventually surrendered to authorities. Steward was arrested and charged with assault 4th degree: domestic violence, no visible injury; and menacing. He was lodged in the Breckenridge County Detention Center.
