A Glasgow man was arrested Sunday after an automated license plate reader camera flagged a stolen vehicle entering the city, according to Glasgow Police.
Police were notified at approximately 12:12 p.m. of an inbound FLOCK ALPR camera notification reporting a stolen vehicle entering the city limits of Glasgow. An officer observed the vehicle at the intersection of N.L. Rogers Wells Boulevard and Happy Valley Road.
The officer confirmed the vehicle was stolen and initiated a traffic stop in the Freddy’s parking lot.
The operator was identified as 50 year-old Austin Carroll, of Glasgow. When questioned, Carroll gave conflicting stories after being read his Miranda rights.
Carroll was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana and operating on a suspended or revoked license. He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center without bond.
