
Meade County Fiscal Court met in special session Thursday (10/07) morning.
Karen Goodin, Planning and Zoning Administrator, addressed the court concerning hiring a part-time building inspector. Goodin said with all the new building in the county an extra person was needed. The extra person would be paid from the inspection funds and will not be a cost to the county.
After some discussion, the court unanimously voted to put out bids for a Level II/III building inspector.
The court also unanimously voted to appropriate $20,000 toward the salary of a part-time secretary for the Industrial Authority. This was approved after Industrial Authority Chairman, David Pace, advised the court that the City of Brandenburg will be also be sharing in the expense.
The next regular meeting of the Meade County Fiscal Court will be held Tuesday, October 12, at 7 p.m.
