Two residents voiced concerns during the public session regarding private roads conditions after the developers have stopped maintaining the roads in the subdivision. The man spoke of the condition of Browning Drive and the issues with Kentucky Land Company. The second man, who is a resident of Shawn Lane, said that his neighborhood is in a similar situation of the developer won’t maintain the roadway and residents cannot afford to have the roads brought up to county road standards. After about a half hour of discussion, Judge Executive Leslie Stith said that the issue would need further review and discussed in a work session to attempt to find a way to determine a way to resolve the issue.

Miller asked county leaders to purchase an interpreting service to assist responders with individuals who speak a foreign language or use sign language. Magistrates approved the trading a portable Pro-tain Compactor for two roll off dumpsters.
Sheriff Philip Wimpee brought to magistrate’s attention an issue related to speed limits on county roads. The issue was raised after several complaints were made regarding speeding on Arnold School Road. When the sheriff went to conduct a radar enforcement on the road, it was discovered that there no posted speed limit signs and after researching the issue further the speed limit was set to default at 55 miles per hour which is unsafe for the roadway. The typical default speed limit on county roads are 20 mph on paved surfaces and 10 mph on gravel roads. County leaders plan to further the issue.
