The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) recently presented Brandenburg Accounts Payable Clerk Shannon Stull with a Level I Achievement in City Governance award.
KLC administers the City Officials Training Center, a voluntary education program. City officials can complete education levels by attending KLC events and submitting outside educational credit from other municipal training.
Brandenburg Mayor Ronnie Joyner said the training KLC provides is valuable to cities across Kentucky. “KLC’s training is very valuable to us. Shannon is a quick learner, and she learned a lot and made some good contacts through this training,” Joyner said.
“We are happy to serve our city officials with a variety of training through the City Officials Training Center program. This leads to better-informed city servants, which benefits all our citizens and their communities,” said KLC Executive Director & CEO James D. Chaney.
The Level I Achievement in City Governance award requires a city official to attend a minimum of 30 hours of approved training with one hour of ethics training.
