A two vehicle collision claimed the life of one driver Monday evening in Edmonson County.
The Kentucky State Police Post 03 responded to the 3900 block of Nolin Dam Road (KY 728) just before 7 p.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates a white 2001 Mercedes-Benz, operated by 55 year-old Laura McCain of Lindseyville, was traveling east on KY 728 and was attempting to make a left turn into a gravel parking lot. McCain entered the path of a red 2015 Jeep Wrangler, operated by 35 year-old Raymond Jaggers of Mammoth Cave, that was traveling westbound on KY 728.
McCain was taken to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Kentucky State Polce was assisted at the scene by the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office and Edmonson County EMS. The collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
