On July 4th, 2025 at 7:18 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 11 London was notified by Whitley County 911 of a 1 year old child drowning victim at Baptist Health in Corbin.
Preliminary investigation determined that the juvenile was found in a swimming pool at his residence. The child was transported by Whitley County EMS to Baptist Health in Corbin, where he was later pronounced deceased by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office. Detective
Kentucky State Police is continuing the ongoing investigation. They were assisted at the scene by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office, Whitley County EMS, Corbin Police Department, and Williamsburg Police Department.
