A man is behind bars after police say he lit fireworks inside a home during an argument.
On Friday, July 4, Glasgow police responded to a house fire on Village Circle, according to a news release. The fire had reportedly been caused by fireworks.
Officers say they determined upon arrival that 19 year-old Shawn Green, of Bowling Green, threatened to set off fireworks inside the home during a verbal argument. Green then allegedly ignited the fireworks and threw them on a bed.
Green left the residence and was located in Bowling Green by Kentucky State Police, according to the release.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree arson and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
He is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on a $2500 cash bond.
