
Metro Police have made an arrest in a deadly shooting outside of a Louisville high school football game last fall.
The shooting happened on September 29, 2024, when shots rang out outside of a football game at Pleasure Ridge Park High School.
Aaron Esters Jr., one of the two teens hit by gunfire, died from his injuries nine days following the incident. The other victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
According to arrest records, the teen Louisville Metro Police Department is calling “JJ,” was seen on video with another suspect initiating the shootout.
Police also said DNA evidence linked the teen to the crime. He was arrested Tuesday morning.
“JJ” is charged with murder and first degree assault.
