The Kentucky State Police responded to a two vehicle collision on Scottsville Road at Finney Road in Barren County just before 3 p.m. Friday.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a black 2008 Yamaha Motorcycle, operated by 19 year-old Zachary Raney of Glasgow, was traveling southbound on Scottsville Road. Raney crossed the center and into the path of a white 2020 Freightliner, operated by 53 yea-old Daniel Pere Vega of Louisville, who was traveling northbound on Scottsville Road.
Raney was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Barren County Deputy Coroner. There were no other injuries.
The Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Barren-Metcalfe EMS and the Barren County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing by the Kentucky State Police.
