Labradford Ward, the man suspected of shooting two women to death, was found dead Sunday near Green Meadows Memorial Cemetery from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Ward was wanted for the shooting of 22-year-old Amia Cox and 26-year-old Sontia Simmons in Shively in the early morning of Monday, July 7. Shively Police identified Ward as a suspect that afternoon.
A spokesperson with the department said the two women were friends and Sontia Simmons was in a relationship with the suspect.
