An Edmonton man is arrested after police receive a Crime Stoppers tip.
Back in May, Bowling Green Police were looking for a shoplifter who hit the Walmart on Morgantown Road six times in one week.
According to court records, over $1,400 was stolen.
Months later, on July 15, police received a Crime Stoppers tip, who identified the man caught on surveillance video.
That man, 64 year-old Curtis Stallins, was then taken into custody without incident on July 16.
Court records state Stallins confessed to police that he stole the items.
He was taken to the Warren County Regional Jail and charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking in connection to the shoplifting.
Following this arrest, Bowling Green Police say this is another example of how community tips can help law enforcement with holding offenders accountable.
Anyone with information about criminal activity is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 270-781-CLUE.
Callers will remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward.
