
At least three different homes have been struck by lightning in this weekend’s storms, causing fires across Kentuckiana.
According to the Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Department, two homes were hit by lightning on Nevin Lane in Fisherville overnight on Friday, July 18.
No one was reported to be injured in either incident, and damage is believed to be minimal.
An apartment complex was also struck in the Beuchel neighborhood in Louisville on Saturday, July 19.
Fern Creek Fire said they arrived to find smoke in the attic but were able to get it under control quickly.
A person living in one of the units said lightning had hit an electrical box on the building.
There were no reported injuries by the apartment complex or Fern Creek Fire.
