Louisville Metro Police says a teenager was found dead after a shooting in the Chickasaw neighborhood Saturday evening.
Louisville Metro Police responded to a call of a shooting in the 1000 block of South 45th Street at around 7:11 p.m. on July 19.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a teenager, later identified by the Jefferson County Coroner as 16-year-old Airean Carr, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating the scene.
