A man is dead and a woman is injured after an early afternoon shooting on Dixie Highway.
Louisville Metro police were called to the 9900 block of Dixie Highway around 1:25 p.m. Officers found an adult man who had been shot.
A short time later, Louisville Metro Police Department received a call from UofL Health – Medical Center Southwest that a woman with a gunshot wound had been brought there in a private vehicle.
Both victims were taken to UofL Hospital where the man later died from his injuries. The woman is expected to survive.
At last report, no arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the LMPD Crime Tip Line at 502-574-LMPD (5673).
