
A Louisville man will spend more than 15 years in federal prison for drug charges.
A news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky said 35 year-old Huey Kirksey was sentenced on Friday for distributing more than 50 grams of meth across Louisville.
In 2023, Kirksey plead guilty to one count of conspiring to distribute, and two counts of distributing meth. Prosecutors said Kirksey had distributed more than 900 grams of meth through “law enforcement-controlled purchases. Kirksey was indicted in August 2024.
Court records show Kirksey was also convicted of another felony drug trafficking charge in 2018.
Based on his criminal history, the Court imposed a sentence of 15 years and 8 months prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
