A man has died following a car crash near Jeffersontown on Monday evening.
According to Louisville Metro Police, officers were called to a crash in the 14000 block of Taylorsville Road at around 8:50 p.m. on August 4.
Upon arriving at the scene and speaking to witnesses, officers discovered that a man was driving westbound on Taylorsville Road when he lost control of the car, causing him to drive off the road and crash into a tree head-on.
EMS and the Jeffersontown Fire Department extracted the driver from the vehicle and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The driver was later identified as 42-year-old Clinton Anderson by the Jefferson County Coroner.
Louisville Metro Police said Anderson was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.
No other vehicles were involved.
