A 25-year-old Taylorsville man was charged with murder weeks after a crash in Bardstown that killed a woman.
Jason Wurts was arrested Wednesday in connection to the June 21 crash. The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the 800 block of West Stephen Foster Avenue at 4:21 a.m. to find a car crashed into a house.
Officials believe a black car left the roadway, first hitting another car that was parked at the house and then the house itself. Two people were found inside: Wurts and 27-year-old Morgan Williamson, who later died at the hospital.
Wurts is charged with murder, driving under the influence, speeding, criminal mischief and wanton endangerment.
He is being held in the Nelson County Correctional Center under a $500,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Nelson County District Court on August 19.
