A woman is dead after a shooting in the Chickasaw neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 4100 block of West Broadway at around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13.
Upon arriving at the scene, police found 28-year-old Jermia Offutt, who had been shot.
Offutt was taken to UofL Hospital, where she died within the hour.
Louisville Metro Police says there are no known suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call LMPD’s anonymous tip line at (502)574-LMPD (5673).
