An investigation is underway after an inmate died at the Christian County Jail on Friday.
Hopkinsville Fire Department spokesperson Captain Payton Rogers said a 60-year-old female inmate collapsed at the jail on Friday afternoon.
CPR was performed on the 60-year-old, but she was later pronounced dead.
The Christian County Coroner’s Office said the death is believed to be from natural causes at this time.
The Kentucky State Police has been asked to assist in the investigation.
