A Kentucky man claims he dropped off two vehicles at a mechanic shop for repairs, but they were crushed instead.
Shawn Long said he dropped them off at a shop and used car lot on Holmes Street in Frankfort on July 20.
Long said he stopped by periodically to check on repairs and was told it was still a work in progress.
But about three weeks after dropping off the vehicles, he tried to reach out to the mechanic again.
Long said he knew something was wrong when he inquired about a truck he was interested in but didn’t get any response. That is when he drove out there and saw the whole place was empty.
Police told him his cars had been scrapped. A Frankfort Police detective is now working on the case.
