Western Kentucky University is now on a growing list of universities across the United States that have become victim to an illegal social media trend.
They are anonymous videos depicting the act of urinating, and in some cases pleasuring oneself, in public on university landmarks.
Videos have been posted on TikTok depicting similar acts transpiring at the University of Louisville, Illinois State University and the University at Albany, among several others.
WKU Support Services Captain Paul Burden said there are several hundred cameras on campus and if that person is still making videos, it is just a matter of time before they will be identified.
Among areas on campus that have been targeted in the videos are Cherry Hall, the Big Red statue, the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center and the Kissing Bridge.
WKU Police encourages anyone with information to contact the department at 270-745-2548.
